INDIANAPOLIS The NCAA has released its initial Division II women's basketball regional rankings for the 2025-26 season, and included in those rankings are Western Colorado's Mountaineers.

Western is included in the South Central Region rankings, one of eight region rankings with each listed only alphabetically with the initial release.

The Mountaineers are one of four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams included within the South Central Region listing.

Western – at 13-9 overall and 11-5 within RMAC play – is tied for fourth place in the conference standings with four games remaining on the regular season schedule, beginning Thursday, February 19 at home against Westminster (Utah) University.

The Mountaineers close out the penultimate regular season weekend with a road trip to fourth-ranked Colorado Mesa University, which is also listed in the South Central region rankings.
