COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Tuesday afternoon announced that Western Colorado's
Jabyn Kemble has been voted the Men's Wrestler of the Week.
A freshman from Middleton, Idaho, Kemble set the Mountaineers off on the right foot in their Feb. 13 dual against visiting and 22nd-ranked Colorado Mesa University, getting a pin in his 125-pound match to forge a lead Western wouldn't relinquish the rest of the night.
Kemble trailed 6-1 after the first period and 10-5 after the second before starting in the top position for the third.
He was able to get the Mavericks' Adonias Cantu flipped onto his back and at the 6:04 mark of the match, earned the fall that put the Mountaineers on the path to a 26-18 victory.
