GUNNISON, Colo. Western Colorado swimming and diving will get in one final tune up meet before preparing for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship meet in three weeks, as the Mountaineers welcome Adams State to the Paul Wright
Natatorium on Saturday morning for Western's Senior Recognition Meet.
The Mountaineers have posted a 3-1 record in dual meets this season while also adding first-place team finishes at the UNK Distance Meet and the UNK Sprint Meet, and a second-place finish at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational.
Saturday's event schedule begins at 9 a.m. with 1-meter diving, followed by the senior recognition ceremony at 9:45 a.m. and the beginning of the swimming events at 10 a.m.
The recognition ceremony will honor eight Mountaineer swimmers who include
Sophia Del Rosario;
Elisa Elsberry;
Ella Fries;
Grace Gardner;
AvaMarie Hopewell;
Sidney-Ann Morris;
Leah Wagner; and diver
Alexandra Wallis.
Saturday's event schedule:
- 1 – 1-meter diving (11 dives)
- 2 – 200-yard medley relay
- 3 – 1,650 freestyle
- 4 – 200 individual medley
- 5 – 200 backstroke
- 6 – 200 freestyle
- 7 – 50 freestyle
- 8 – 200 breaststroke
- 9 – 500 freestyle
- 10 – 100 freestyle
- 11 – 200 butterfly
- 12 – 400 individual medley
- 13 – 200 freestyle relay
