RICHMOND, Va.  Academic honors for Western Colorado's swimming and diving program continue to be the norm, as the Mountaineer have added recognition on the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall 2025 Scholar All-America Team list, released Tuesday by the organization.

The Mountaineers posted the highest fall term grade point average, 3.79, of the six Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference swim and dive programs making the list. Joining Western also earning recognition from the league are Colorado Mesa University (3.68), Colorado State Pueblo (3.65), Colorado School of Mines (3.55), University of Texas Permian Basin (3.28), and Simon Fraser University (3.25).

To qualify, the official release states, "each team was required to post a team cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Fall 2025 semester."

In all, 709 teams from NCAA Division I, II, III, the NAIA, and the NJCAA, with more than 16,000 student-athletes represented, earned recognition on the Fall 2025 Scholar All-American list.

Western continues to be recognized for its academic excellence, having earned the RMAC's Brechler Award – presented annually to the team with the highest academic year GPA in each of the RMAC's sport offerings – each of the last four years, and five total Brechler Awards since its inception with the 2012-13 academic year.

CSCAA will also release a spring semester Scholar All-America Teams list, and with it, the individual Scholar All-America honorees.
