COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Thursday morning announced its 2025 All-RMAC Women's Basketball Team with Western Colorado's
Rachel Cockman and
Ivey Schmidt voted to the All-RMAC first team.
In addition,
Jayda Maves earned an honorable mention all-conference nod.
Cockman and Schmidt — starters in every game this season — lead the Mountaineers in both scoring and rebounding as the team enters the semifinals round of the 2025 RMAC tournament.
A second-team selection in 2024-25, Cockman averages 12.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, registering seven double-doubles this year. Her 36 blocks are a single-season high as are also her 36 steals.
With 356 points this winter, also a single-season best, she has crested the 1,000-point career mark, heading into the RMAC final four with a cumulative total of 1,186 points.
An honorable mention all-conference player last year, Schmidt averages 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season. She has scored in double figures 20 times, including six games in which she scored at least 20 points.
Western's assist leader with 72, Schmidt is second on the team in steals (30) and has driven her way to the free throw line 113 times, hitting 85 of those opportunities for a FT percentage of .752.
This is Maves' initial all-conference honor. She was part of a sharp-shooting long-range duo for the Mountaineers, hitting 46 3-pointers in 126 attempts (36.5%). She averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, dished out 37 assists and had 12 steals while starting every game.
Western earned its spot in the RMAC playoffs with a second-place finish in the regular season conference standings, posting a 20-7 overall record and a 15-5 mark within league play.
The Mountaineers advanced to the semifinal round with a 67-51 home win in the quarterfinals against Regis University on March 4.
Western will play the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in the semifinals on Friday, March 7 in Grand Junction, Colo.
