Swim & Dive Honored with Team Scholar Award

RICHMOND, Va.  The Western Colorado women's swimming and diving team was named a Fall 2024 College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team in Division II, as announced by the organization on Monday.

The Mountaineers posted a fall semester cumulative grade-point average of 3.56 to be one of four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women's programs to earn inclusion on the list. Colorado Mesa University, Colorado School of Mines and associate member in swimming University of Texas Permian Basin were the other RMAC programs.

Teams must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.00 in the Fall 2024 semester to be eligible.

In all, 781 teams from 459 institutions in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, the NAIA, and NJCAA were named on the Fall 2024 CSCAA all-scholar team.

Western Colorado recently completed its regular season with a 219-41 victory over visiting Adams State in the Mountaineers' Senior Recognition Meet.

Next up for Western is the RMAC swimming & diving championship meet in Grand Junction, Colo., on Feb. 11-15.
