Nash 7th in Harlon Hill Award Voting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.  The Little Rock Touchdown Club on Friday afternoon released the final results of the 2025 Harlon Hill Award voting, showing Western Colorado senior quarterback Drew Nash seventh, the highest finish for a Mountaineer in history.

Only the second finalist from Western Colorado, Nash received 36 points to claim his spot in the rankings, one place higher than Austin Ekeler's eighth-place finish in 2016.

The Harlon Hill Award is presented to the NCAA Division II College Football Player of the Year, and is elected by DII sports information directors.

Nash has filled a proverbial shelf with postseason awards, adding the Harlon Hill recognition to several others already announced.

His postseason began with being voted the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Offensive Player of the Year and first team quarterback, followed by the NCAA DII Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Offensive Player of the Year and first team quarterback.

More recently, he was voted the RMAC All-Academic Player of the Year on offense and the All-Academic team's quarterback, and on Dec. 17 was named to the Associated Press (AP) DII All-America second team (offense) as an all-purpose player for the second consecutive season.

One day later he was announced as the National Football Foundation-Colorado Chapter's Offensive Player of the Year and first team quarterback.

Nash – Western Colorado's career passing touchdown leader (77) – finished the 2025 season by leading the Mountaineers into the NCAA DII playoffs for a third consecutive season, and into the second round of the playoffs for the second straight postseason.

His 33 touchdown passes this season were third-most in DII, and his 11 rushing touchdowns ranked 29th nationally, scoring results that elevated him to second in DII in points responsible per game (22.0) and third in total points responsible for (264).

Along with his career touchdown record in the program history book, Nash finishes his Mountaineer career also ranked second all-time in passing yards (8,061) and in career completions (647), while also ranking tied for seventh in the record book for career rushing touchdowns (23).

The second national finalist, Nash was the fourth Mountaineer to be named a Harlon Hill regional finalist, along with Chaumont Bouknight (2003), Ekeler (2015, 2016), and Ricky Freymond (2024).
