COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The National Football Foundation-Colorado Chapter (NFFCC) on Thursday announced Western Colorado's
Drew Nash as its 2025 NFFCC Offensive Player of the Year and All-NFFCC First Team quarterback.
Nash has previously been named the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Offensive Player of the Year and All-RMAC first team quarterback, its 2025 RMAC All-Academic Offensive Player of the Year, and the 2025 NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Super Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year and All-Super Region 4 first team quarterback.
Joining Nash as All-NFFCC first team selections are defensive ends
Ricky Freymond and
Drew Johnson, and linebackers
Ian Loomis and
Cameron Cooper.
Offensive lineman
Zach Brumfield was voted to the All-NFFCC second team.
A Harlon Hill Award finalist, Nash has led Western to three consecutive appearances in the NCAA DII playoffs, a feat no other quarterback has accomplished in program history. He finished the season as Western's career leader in touchdown passes (77), and his 33 touchdown passes this season were third most in DII.
Freymond, on Wednesday, was announced as a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) second-team All-American defense, an award that adds to first team All-RMAC, first team RMAC All-Academic, and second team D2CCA all-region (defense) honors in this postseason.
Johnson's NFFCC selection is in addition to a postseason that includes first team All-RMAC and first team RMAC All-Academic.
Loomis is also a first team All-RMAC and first team RMAC All-Academic honoree and was a second team D2CCA all-region (defense) selection.
Cooper was tabbed a first team All-RMAC (defense) selection as was Brumfield on the offensive side of the ball.
The Mountaineers posted a 10-3 record this season, winning a first-round NCAA DII playoff game at Central Washington before falling in overtime at home in the second round of the playoffs.
Western's three losses this season were on a last-play field goal, an overtime field goal, and also in overtime in the playoff game at MOJO Field at Mountaineer Bowl at the Rady Family Sports Complex.
