COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Western Colorado men's wrestling earned 22 points from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference coaches in their 2025-26 preseason poll, a total that slots them fourth in the seven-team poll, released Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
The Mountaineers earned one second-place vote and two third-place tallies in a poll led by Colorado Mesa with 33 points. The Mavericks earned three first-place votes and three second-place votes to edge out Adams State's 28 points. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team.
Western posted a 5-2 record in the RMAC last season, tying for second place in the final league standings.
At the 2025 NCAA Division II Super Region VI Championship, hosted by the Mountaineers, Western placed third and advanced one wrestler, All-American

Of the 10 wrestlers who competed at the Super Region, six – including four who were one place shy of nationals last winter – are back on the mats at the Tracy Borah Wrestling Room with head coach
