Gunnison, Colo.,  The Western Colorado hosts RMAC opponents Chadron State College and Colorado Christian University respectfully on Friday September 27 at 6 p.m. and Saturday September 28 at 5 p.m.
 
WESTERN COLORADO GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024 STATS
  • Western Colorado Volleyball most recently traveled to Grand Junction, Colorado and Salt Lake City Utah on Friday September 20 and Saturday September 21.
  • The Mountaineers placed thirteenth in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They go into the weekend 2-9 overall and 0-2 in conference.
  • WCU has a total of 509 kills, 463 assists, 63 aces, 700 digs, and 55 blocks so far this season.
  • Senior setter Nur Turkmenoglu controls the ball on offense with 396 total assists and 18 service aces. Senior Seyun Park paves the way with 103 total kills. After her is junior Pelin Aksoy with 83 kills. total kills. A close third is senior Kennedy Kelly with 82 kills.
  • Sophomore Chinaru Inoue is the front runner for digs with 208. Contributing to the defense is sophomore Kyra Kidd with 30 total blocks.
  • Western Colorado played well on both sides of the ball in their previous games and are ready for more conference play.

CHADRON STATE GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024 STATS
  • Chadron State Volleyball most recently hosted RMAC opponents Colorado School of Mines and Metropolitan State University.
  • The Eagles placed eighth in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They head into the weekend with an overall record of 2-8 and a conference record of 0-2.
  • CSC has a total of 327 kills, 312 assists, 40 aces, 543 digs, and 45 blocks so far this season.
  • Junior Alejandra Briseno leads the Eagles in kills with 72. Following her with 54 kills is sophomore Kally Kirkwood. In a close third with 50 kills is junior Bella Adams.
  • Kirkwood is also on the assist's leader board, in the top spot, with 150 assists. Following her with 66 assists is junior Rylee Ward.
  • The Eagle's defense is led by senior Alondra Hernandez who has recorded 162 digs so far this season. Senior Aiyana Fujiyama towers over the net recording 25 total blocks.

COLORADO CHRISTIAN GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024 STATS
  • Colorado Christian Volleyball most recently hosted RMAC opponents Metropolitan State University and Colorado School of Mines.
  • The Cougars placed seventh in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They head into the weekend with an overall record of 6-4 and a conference record of 1-1.
  • CCU has a total of 512 kills, 479 assists, 68 aces, 619 digs, and 67 blocks so far this season.
  • Sophomore Suzanna Conner leads the Cougars in kills with 102. Following her with 102 kills is senior Abby Breeding. In a close third with 90 kills is junior Renee Phillips.
  • Senior Izzy Jones paves the way with 400 assists. Following her with 38 assists is graduate student Shelby Hernandez.
  • The Cougars' defense is led by Hernandez who has recorded 172 digs so far this season. Senior Lilly Woods towers over the net recording 43 total blocks.
