COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on Thursday released its 2023-24 all-conference swimming teams, showing five Western Colorado swimmers as second team honorees.

Sage Patterson swam to their RMAC honors at the February 13-17 conference championship meet in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Nielsen, who earned entrance to and swam at the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in mid-March, finished in third place at the RMAC meet in the 1,650-yard freestyle and a fourth place in the 1,000 free. She set school records in both with times of 17 minutes, 17.17 seconds in the 1,650 and 10:26.69Â in the 1,000.
In addition to those two events, she also swam the 500 free at the NCAA championship meet in Geneva, Ohio, breaking the school record she had set at RMACs with a career best time of 5:04.38.
Maruska led off a fourth-place 400 free relay quartet at the RMAC meet, with Patterson, Little, then Lambert following to combine for a time of 3:31.32.
First- and second-place finishers in each event at the RMAC meet earn first-team all-conference honors, with the third- and fourth-place finishers earning second-team all-RMAC awards.
