Gunnison, Colo., The Western Colorado Men's Basketball team hosts Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponent Colorado Christian on Thursday December 5th at 7:30pm for their "Pack the House – White Out" contest. Then hosts Colorado State University Pueblo on Saturday December 7 at 3pm for another RMAC game.
WESTERN COLORADO MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024-25 STATS
- WCU comes off a loss (94-86) in a non-conference game against New Mexico Highlands. The Mountaineers go into the weekend with an overall record of 1-4.
- In the game versus that Cowboys, senior Kade Juelfs led the Mountaineer offense with 28 points, going 5-6 from the charity stripe, 57% (8-14) from the field, and 58% (7-12) from behind the arch. Junior Jamel Hollin and senior Amar Rivers respectfully contributed 10 points while sophomore Tyler Halligan junior Ty Buckmon, and junior Andrew Reichart each put up 8.
- Hollins paced the offense with 6 assists. Halligan, Juelfs, Reichart and senior Spencer Wright each finished with a pair.
- Halligan pulled down 3 offensive boards and finished with 4 total. Rivers grabbed three while Juelfs, Hollins, Reichart and junior Trevin Lieck each secured 2.
- Western Colorado earned 36 of their points in the paint, had 24 bench points, 14 points off turnovers and 7 second chance points.
- The Mountaineers shot 56.9% from the field, 45.5% from three and 81.8% from the charity stripe.
- Juelfs leads the Mountaineer offense with 73 total points (14.6 ppg). Halligan is right behind with 68 total points (13.6 ppg). They are followed by Rivers, 52 total points (10.4 ppg), Reichart, 45 total points (9 ppg), and Buckmon 34 total points (6.8 ppg).
- Hollins is the front runner for rebounds with 31 total (6.2 rpg). Rivers and Reichart have respectfully recorded 24 total rebounds (4.8 rpg).
- Buckmon has recorded double digits in both assists and steals with 11 in both categories. Senior Trey Anderson has accumulated 5 blocks so far this season.
- WCU shoots 45.9% from the field, 28.4% from behind the arch, and 57.3% from the free throw line.
COLORADO CHRISTIAN MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024-25 STATS
- The Cougars are on a three-game win streak, defeating California State University Monterey Bay 75-52, Barclay College 81-74, and Chadron State 76-60.
- CCU goes into the weekend with an overall record 3-2. They average 74 points, 34 rebounds, 14 assists, 15 turnovers, 6 steals, and 3 blocks per game.
- Redshirt sophomore Bradley Land paces the offense with 74 total points, averaging 14.8 ppg. Right behind him is sophomore Bobby McWard with 50 points (10 ppg), then sophomore CJ Barnes with 47 points (9.4 ppg).
- Land leads CCU in rebounds with 34 total (6.8 rpg). Redshirt junior Schafer Reichart has pulled down 23 total rebounds (4.6 rpg) and the front runner for assist with 20 total.

COLORADO STATE UNIVERISTY PUEBLO MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024-25 STATS
- The Thunderwolves are coming off a win, defeating Bethany College (Kan.) 87-65.
- CSUP goes into the weekend with an overall record 5-1. They average 84 points, 44 rebounds, 19 assists, 13 turnovers, 6 steals, and 3 blocks per game.
- Senior De'Shaun Cooper paces the offense with 78 total points, averaging 13 ppg. Right behind him is senior Armon Muldrew with 65 points (10.8 ppg), then junior Victor Lado with 64 points (10.7 ppg).
- De'Shaun leads CSUP in rebounds with 39 total (6.5 rpg). Freshman Jake Lafferty has pulled down 31 total rebounds (5.2 rpg).
- The Cougars shoot 49% from the field, 31% from behind the arch and 68% from the charity stripe.
