Las Vegas, N.M.,   The Western Colorado Men's Basketball travels to Las Vegas, New Mexico to take on New Mexico Highlands on Friday November 29 at 1pm.  
 
WESTERN COLORADO MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE GAME | 2024-25 STATS

• The Mountaineers are coming off their home opener against Justice College where they won 72-48.
• WCU enters the contest with an overall record of 1-3.
• Sophomore Tyler Halligan lead the offense with 21 points, followed by junior Andrew Reichart with 16. Seniors Kade Juelfs and Spencer Wright tied for 3 assists each. Junior Ty Buckmon and senior Amar Rivers respectfully contributed 2 steals.
• Junior Jamel Hollins paced the defense with 11 rebounds. Reichart right behind, pulling down 8 boards, then River with 7.
• Juelfs went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe, while junior Trevin Lieck went 5-for-6.
• The Mountaineers shot 46% from the field, 18.8% from behind the arch and 55% from the free throw line.
• WCU scored 50 points in the paint, had 18 bench points and 12 second chance points.
• Western Colorado averages 68.5 points, 33 rebounds, 9 assists, 7.3 steals and 3.5 blocks per game.

 
NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE GAME | 2024-25 STATS

• Highlands enters the game with an overall record of 4-1.
• Senior Kenard Richardson leads the scoring with a total of 84 points, averaging 16.8 points per game. Right behind him is senior Kyrie Thomas with 63 total and 12.6 ppg.
• Freshman KJ LaMonte averages 2.2 assists a game with 11 total. LaMonte and Richardson have both recorded 9 steals on the year so far.
• Richarson paces the boards with 25 total rebounds and 5 rpg. Junior TJ Sanchez is a close second with 19 total rebounds averaging 3.8 rpg. 
• The Cowboys average 85 points, 31.2 rebounds, 13.2 assists, 10.8 steals, and 3.6 blocks per game.
