Sacramento, Calif.,  The Western Colorado men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA DII National Championship Meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Three Women: 1. Lauren Kiley, Grand Valley St., (20:28:5), 2. Kendall Kramer, Alaska Fairbanks, (20:30.7), 3. Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge, Colo. Mines (20:34.0)
 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Crossing the finish line, for the men, in the 40th spot, was freshman Oliver Diaz with a time of 30:30.8.
• Just on Diaz's tail was sophomore Tyler Nord who placed 43^rd, with an end time of 30:34.5. Sophomore Brandon David placed 81^st finishing at the 31:10.7 mark.
• Senior Leah Taylor finished 15th overall and first for WCU with a time of 21:02.4.
• A few spots later sophomore Lauren Willson finished 27th (21:11.4).
• Sophomore Peyton Weiss and junior Emma Kjellsen respectfully finished 135^th and 136^th.

 
This concludes the 2024 Cross Country Season.
