Denver, Colo.,    Mountaineer Volleyball heads to #1 MSU Denver to compete in the first round of the RMAC tournament on Tuesday November 19 at 7pm.
 
 
WESTERN COLORADO GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024 STATS
  • Western Colorado Volleyball comes off a win, defeating Colorado Mines 3-1, that gave them the 8th seed in the postseason tournament.
  • The Mountaineers placed 13th in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They go into the match 12-15 overall and 7-7 in conference.
  • WCU has a total of 1295 kills, 1186 assists, 145 aces, 1660 digs, and 153 blocks so far this season.
  • Senior setter Nur Turkmenoglu has control on both sides of the ball with 998 total assists (9.78 per set), 86 kills, 31 service aces, 207 digs and 34 blocks.
  • Senior Seyun Park paves the way with 307 total kills (3.16 per set). After her is junior Olive Rolseth with 229 kills (2.41 per set). Third is senior Kennedy Kelly  with 220 kills (2.22 per set), then junior Pelin Aksoy with 217 total kills (2.38 per set).
  • Sophomore Chinaru Inoue is the front runner for digs with 461 (4.52 per set). Sophomore Kacee Garcia also adds to digs with 209 (2.13 per set). Contributing to both the offense and the defense is sophomore Kyra Kidd with 148 total kills (1.45) and 78 total blocks.
MSU DENVER GOING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2024 STATS
  • MSU Denver won the RMAC and earned the first seed in the postseason tournament.
  • The Roadrunners placed 1st in the RMAC Volleyball Preseason Poll. They go into the weekend with an overall record of 24-2 overall and 14-0 in conference.
  • MSU is coming off two RMAC wins versus WCU 3-0 and Fort Lewis 3-0.
  • MSU has accumulated 1247 total kills, 1172 total assists, 164 total aces, 1161 total digs and 249 total blocks so far this season.
  • Senior Riley Anderson paces the offense with 303 total kills (3.40 per set). Right with her is junior Annika Helf contributing 260 kills (3.33 per set).
  • Senior setter Delaney Eckhardt has racked up 558 assists (6.27 per set).
  • The defense is controlled by senior Abbie McCrimmon with 334 digs (3.75 per set) then Helf with 177 digs (2.27 per set) along with freshman Alyssa Boyte who is top in blocks with 125.
