COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Western Colorado's
Natsuki Murakami has been voted to the Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team for women's soccer, as announced by the league office Monday morning.
In addition, 20 other Mountaineers were named to the All-RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
Nominations for first-team are submitted and voted on by the conference's athletics communications directors. A nominee for first-team voting must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 along with accompanying criteria from the playing season. Directors are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
Murakami, a junior midfielder from Oita, Japan, majoring in exercise & sports science with a 3.90 GPA, led Western's attack with eight points from three goals and two assists during the 2024 campaign.

The 13-player first team was highlighted by RMAC Women's Soccer Academic Player of the Year Reese McDermott from Colorado School of Mines. McDermott is the repeat academic player of the year having also been voted to the honor in 2023.
