ALAMOSA, Colo. Western Colorado's swimming and diving team will participate in the two-day Dan France Continental Divide Cup, heading to Adams State University on Saturday for Day 1 before hosting Day 2 at home in Paul Wright Natatorium.
The event will be the first occurrence of what will be an annual event, beginning with this season's two-team match-up between the men's and women's teams from Adams State and the Mountaineers' women's program.
Initiated as a memorial series, the event honors France who led the Adams State swim program from 2011-17 before taking on the leadership of the Las Cruces Aquatic Team until his passing in September 2021.
The Grizzlies and Western will begin the Cup on Saturday at 3 p.m. in ASU's Plachy Hall Pool, with the conclusion of the meet taking place in the Mountaineers' home facility starting with 1-meter diving at 10 a.m. and the remainder of the swim schedule slated for a 12 p.m. start.

The Mountaineers will compete against host Colorado State Pueblo and Nebraska-Kearney on Fri. and Sat., Oct. 20-21 at the CSU Pueblo Tri-Meet in the Sam Jones Aquatic Center.
