GUNNISON, Colo.  The Rangers of Regis University visit Western Colorado Saturday evening for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference volleyball match in Paul Wright Gym.

History of the dual has been kinder to Regis over the years, as Western on Saturday will be trying to break a five-match Ranger win streak. And of the past 15 matches, the Mountaineers' sole victory came in 2016.

WESTERN HEADING INTO THE MATCH | SEASON STATS
The Mountaineers head into the bout with a 2-8 record overall and a 1-2 mark in RMAC action. Both of the wins have been five-set triumphs.

In their last outing at Fort Lewis College, Western opened with as strong of a set as they played across early-season matches, taking the game 25-17 without ever trailing. The Skyhawks, however, rebounded with three consecutive set wins to take the match, 3-1.

Paced by Randi Wellhoefer's 28 blocks (2 solo and 26 block assists) and 23 (6 and 17) from Jaeda Davis-Golliher, Western ranks sixth in the league in blocks at 1.83 per set. Wellhoefer's average of .80 per set is 15th in the league's individual rankings.

Behind the blocks are Elizabeth Rupprecht and Emily Mangone who team up to led the team in digs. Rupprecht eclipsed the 100-digs mark for the season during the Fort Lewis match, totaling 105 for the year, while Mangone is next on the list with 78.

Five Mountaineers have knocked down 45 or more kills so far this season. Mangone leads the team in total number of kills with 81, followed by 74 from David-Golliher whose attack percentage of .344 ranks 12th within the RMAC.

Also ranked within RMAC individual standings is Mangone, whose 16 service aces work out to an average of .47 per set, a mark that is third best in the league.

REGIS HEADING INTO THE MATCH | SEASON STATS
The Rangers are 6-4 overall and unbeaten in league play with a 2-0 record. They enter Saturday on a five-match win streak.

Within RMAC team rankings, Regis is third in blocks per set (2.18), fourth in kills per set (12.95), and sixth in both hitting percentage (.225) and assists per set (11.72).

Net play is dominated by Amelia Davis. The is 11th in the conference with an average of 3.18 kills per set (and a total of 124 kills), and third in blocks with 1.10 per set and a total of 9 solo and 34 block assists. Teammate Halle Theis is also ranked amongst the league's leaders in attack percentage, sitting 14th at 3.30 per set and accumulating 118 kills.

Setting up the attack is Mara LeGrande with 370 set assists. Her average of 9.49 per set is fifth best in the league.

Haley Kennedy is proving to be a dual threat, ranking sixth in the league with a .46 average of service aces per set while ranking fifth in digs per set at an average of 4.41.
