GUNNISON, Colo. A familiar foe will leap into the pool at Paul Wright Natatorium Saturday afternoon when visiting Colorado State University Pueblo visits Western Colorado, the ThunderWolves and Mountaineers meeting for the fourth time this season.
Saturday's
Pack The House! Meet is also Western's Senior Day, honoring
Carolyn Goodwin and
Addison O'Donnell in a brief ceremony prior to the meet start.
WESTERN COLORADO HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND
The two teams first squared off at CSU Pueblo's Quad Meet in mid-October, with Western coming out in front, 194-43, while also sweeping the day with wins over Adams State (219-18) and Southwest Minnesota State (187-53).
Six days later Western and Pueblo met again, this time in a double-dual at the University of New Mexico. The Mountaineers ran up a 239-46 score over the ThunderWolves, but dropped a decision to the NCAA Division I Lobos, 196.5-102.5.
Most recently, Western finished off the four-day TYR/CMU Invitational at Colorado Mesa University with a fourth-place finish (292 points), once more ahead of Pueblo which was fifth (95 pts.) at the Invite.

CSU PUEBLO HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND
The ThunderWolves recorded one win at their Quad Meet, defeating Adams State, 124-73.
At the TYR/CMU Invite, Pueblo's top finishers included:
- McKenna Hauber: 10th – 1,000 Free, 10th – 400 IM, 9th – 1,650 Free
- Carla Sanchez Guareno: 13th – 200 Back
- Nalani Wess: 17th – 200 Fly
- Kristen Wolf: 15th – 200 Breast
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the team's winter training trip, the Mountaineers roll into the second-semester portion of their schedule with the Colorado College Classic on January 20-22 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
