COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Katie Doucette has been tabbed the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's women's cross country runner of the week, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
The redshirt-Junior finished second out of 224 runners at the 2022 NCAA Division II Pre-Nationals meet October 22 in University Place, Washington.
Doucette covered the 6-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 55.10 seconds, edging out the third-place finisher by 9/10s of a second and trailing race winner Naomi Bailey of Alaska Fairbanks by nine seconds.
The time was Doucette's second fastest 6K clocking in her collegiate career.
With Doucette leading the way, Western Colorado finished second on the team scoreboard with a total of 88 points in a field of 29 teams from across the nation.
