GUNNISON, Colo. In their final tune-up before the conference meet, Western Colorado's women's swimmers rolled to a 184-36 home victory over visiting Adams State University Sunday afternoon at Paul Wright Natatorium.
The dual against the Grizzlies was the fourth this season, and Sunday's victory made a clean sweep of the series for the Mountaineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Western got off to a roaring start, as the 400-yard medley relay quartet of Tayla Liddle, Addison O'Donnell, Megan Walton and Jordan Maruska earned first place – in a 1-2-3 Western sweep – with a time of 4 minutes, 16.24 seconds.
- Marsuska would get back up on the starting blocks in the next event and would again earn a first-place finish, taking the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 2:01.54. Midway through the meet she would capture first place in the 100 free (55.79) and would cap off her day leading off the winning 400 free relay (3:48.72) quartet.
- That free relay foursome of Maruska, Taylor Grebe, Liddle and O'Donnell also produced several individual event top finishes and victories: Grebe won the 50 free with a time of 25.68 seconds; Liddle won the 400 individual medley (5:07.50); and O'Donnell would add to her pair of wins on relays by contributing a second-place finish in the 100 free (55.96) and a third place in the 200 free (2:06.67).
- Winning a pair of individual events was Adrianna Bese, who took first in both the 100 (1:12.13) and 200 (2:38.17) breaststroke events.
- Kali Stier hit the pad first in the 200 backstroke (2:15.21) and was second (by 6/100ths of a second) in the 100 back (1:03.77).
- Western also received first-place finishes from Anna Maurello in the 200 butterfly (2:22.96), Lauren Linneman in the 500 free (5:36.27), Walton in the 100 fly (1:03.67), and Sarah Mortenson in 1-meter diving (238.00 points).
