COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Western Colorado's Katie Doucette earns this week's RMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season, after her performance at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite on Saturday.
 
Doucette won the event, setting a new course record in the process, with her time of 17:35.64 for the five-kilometer course in Gunnison, Colo. Leading the Mountaineers to a first place team finish.
 
In the field of 36 athletes, Doucette dominated the competition as she finished 40 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
 
The Mountaineers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 25 in Grand Junction, Colo. as they travel to the Colorado Mesa Open.
