GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer program will face off against the Westminster Griffins Friday Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at Katy O. Rady Field for pink night. They will also Travel to Colorado Mesa on Sunday Oct. 17 to defeat the Mavericks at 1 p.m. on the Maverick field.

Western Colorado heads in this weeks games with a 4-5-1 overall record and 1-3-1 in the RMAC. The Mountaineers are coming back from a loss last Friday to New Mexico Highlands University and a tie Sunday from Colorado Christian University. This weekend they look to bring home a win.

The Griffins head into Friday's games with 4-2-3 overall and 1-2-2 in the Conference. They have lost and/or tied the last four games; their most recent loss comes from Colorado School of Mines.
On the season, Aimee Kurfurst leads the team at four goals, with teammate Alexa Maple behind her at two goals and two assists. Sophia DiGeronimo, Dominique Estrada, Cassidy Orr, and Elaina Pierce all with one goal each. In goal, Kelsea Cracroft has a 0.74 GAA and 0.800 save percentage.

Kaeyla Noble is this week's Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after picking up two shutouts in two Mountaineer wins. Noble in a 1-0 season-opening win over Western Oregon on Friday in Grand Junction picked up six saves while playing all 90 minutes - facing nine shots. Noble was even more impressive against West Texas A&M in the Mountaineers' 2-0 win Sunday in Durango, picking up 11 saves - tied for the seventh-most in the nation during the opening weekend - while facing 21 shots.

The Western Colorado women's soccer team was voted 11th in the RMAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. Western Colorado went 1-8 overall and 1-4 in RMAC play during the spring 2021 season - moved from fall 2020 due to the pandemic.
