GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado men's basketball team looks to keeps its postseason hopes alive as they host Regis and Colorado Christian this week.

The Mountaineers at 6-11 are three games back of the eighth-and-final postseason spot for the RMAC Tournament with five games to go.  RMAC STANDINGS

PREVIOUS MEETINGS THIS SEASON
Western Colorado split its games on the road against these two teams just two weeks ago, falling in overtime 94-92 to Colorado Christian on Jan. 31 before bouncing back to defeat Regis 81-77 on Feb. 1.

THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | 2019-20 SEASON STATS
Western Colorado last week split a pair of home games, falling 90-82 to No. 22 Dixie State on Friday with Matthew Ragsdale leading the way with 21 points before defeating Westminster 74-67 on Saturday with Cole Sienknecht leading the team with 18 points.

Sienknecht continues to lead the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game along with 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contests. Ragsdale is second on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game while he's shooting 44 percent from 3-point range and Jackson Ehrlin is third on the team in scoring at 10.0 points per game to go along with 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Monroe Porter continues to lead the team in rebounding (6.8), assists (2.7), steals (0.9) and blocks (0.6) while averaging 9.4 points per contest.

WCU is averaging 71.6 points per game while allowing 78.4 per contest (10th in the RMAC). The Mountaineers are fourth in the RMAC in 3-pointers per game at 8.8.

REGIS HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Rangers won both games at home last week, beating Adams State 99-75 Friday behind 16 points, four assists and three steals from Christian Little before defeating Fort Lewis 90-77 behind 25 points, four rebounds and three assists from Little. Regis has won four of its last five games with its only loss coming at home to Western Colorado.

Little leads the team in scoring at 16.6 points per game while also leading the team in steals (41). He's also averaging 2.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. Toni Rocak is second on the team in scoring at 15.7 points per game while leading the team at 6.3 boards per game while Brian Dawson is third on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game and he's hit a team-best 29 3-pointers.

Regis is sixth in the RMAC in scoring at 77.4 points per game while allowing 74.3 per contest - eighth in the RMAC.

COLORADO CHRISTIAN HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Cougars won both games at home last week, defeating Fort Lewis 92-87 on Friday behind 24 points off the bench from Collin Huun (going 5-for-7 from 3-point range) before beating Adams State 86-73 on Saturday with Spencer Hoffman racking up a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds (the Cougars had three players with a double-double - Hoffman, Justin Engesser with 12 points and 10 assists and Aidan Cantwell with 10 points and 10 rebounds).

Since starting the season 1-18, the Cougars have won three of their last four games.

Hoffman leads the team at 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while Jake Hornick is at 13 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game while Justin Engesser is at 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest.
