GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado men's basketball team hits the road this week as the Mountaineers travel to take on Westminster on Friday and No. 18 Dixie State on Saturday.

WCU at 4-7 in RMAC play sits two games out of the eighth-and-final RMAC Tournament spot with 11 games remaining. Westminster is a game out of the playoffs while Dixie State sits in a tie for first in the conference with Black Hills State at 9-2.

THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | 2019-20 SEASON STATS
Western Colorado split a weekend at home last week, falling to Fort Lewis 88-74 on Friday despite 24 points from Matthew Ragsdale before defeating Adams State 88-85 on Saturday - led by Ragsdale's 21 points.

For Ragsdale, he made his first two starts of the season last week and now has three consecutive 20-plus point games - going 17-for-26 from 3-point range (65.4 percent).

Sienknecht continues to lead the team in scoring at 14.1 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest. Ehrlin, who missed last weekend due to injury, is averaging 10.9 points per game while Ragsdale has increased his scoring average just shy of double figures at 9.7 points per game. Monroe Porter leads the team in rebounding (6.9) and assists (2.5) along with averaging 7.7 points per game.

WESTMINSTER HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Griffins split a pair of home games last week, falling to Regis 74-70 on Friday (Alec Monson had 17 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals) and defeating Colorado Christian 94-73 on Saturday behind 20 points and six assists from Brandon Warr.

Warr leads five Westminster players averaging double figures at 16.1 points per game - led by his 3-point shooting as he's 43-for-104 from long range (41.3 percent). He's also averaging a team-best 8.4 rebounds per game. AMonson is averaging 12.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and a team best in assists (3.6) and steals (1.2). Jai Jai Ely is averaging 12.2 points, Jake Connor is at 11.1 points and Joonas Tahvanainen is at 10.4 points.

As a team, the Griffins are 10th in scoring margin at plus-0.6 points, averaging 73.2 points and allowing 72.6 points.

DIXIE STATE HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Trailblazers won a pair of games at home last week by double figures, beating Colorado Christian 84-73 on Friday behind 17 points from Jarod Greene before defeating Regis 73-53 on Saturday - led by 17 points from Hunter Schofield.

DSU is tied for the lead in scoring margin this season at plus-8.9 points - averaging 81.1 points while allowing 72.2 points. The Trailblazers lead the RMAC at 39.6 rebounds per contest while they are second in rebounding margin at plus-5.0. They also lead the RMAC in assists per game at 17.2.

DSU uses plenty of players as 10 players are averaging 10.4 or more minutes per game (with all of those players playing in at least 16 of its games). The 6-foot-8 Schofield leads the team in scoring 16.5 points per game while also grabbing a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game. Jack Pagenkopf is averaging 13.1 points  and 6.4 rebounds per contest to go along with a team-best 5.8 assists and 2.3 steals while Dason Youngblood at 10.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 steals.
