Gunnison, Colo. – Western Colorado University men's basketball falls short of victory against the Trailblazers of Dixie State University. The Mountaineers lost on the road, 52 to 74 against the Trailblazers, making Western 3-19 on the season and 0-16 in the RMAC.

Dixie ranked sixth in the RMAC, outscored Western 25-42 in the first half. The Mountaineers started the second quarter with a quick three-pointer by
James Willis, but then were overcome by the Trailblazers.

Brady Subart led the Mountaineers with 14 points, tying the Trailblazers leading scorer Julien Ducree. Subart also spent the most time on the court with 37 minutes of playing time, ten minutes more than any other player in the game. Â Brady in ranked ninth in the RMAC for most minutes played this season.

Western as a team had a 35.2 percent field goal shooting average, 24 percent from behind the three, and 41.7 percent from the free throw line. Way down from their season average of 42.7 percent for field goals, 37 percent for threes, and 70.8 percent from the free throw line.

Joran Ticeson,
Jackson Ehrlin, and
Monroe Porter each had six rebounds, with only Dixie's Cameron Chatwin out rebounding them with seven rebounds.

Cole Sienknecht had an off night, only making two free throws in 27 minutes of playing time. Â
