GUNNISON, Colo. – Western men's basketball close out their last home game with another win. The Mountaineers defeated the Skyhawks form Fort Lewis College 82-68. Western is now on a three game winning streak going into their final game of the season, on Friday the Mountaineers go on the road to take on the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University.
At half Western led 42-32 over Fort Lewis, then continued to outscore them 40-36 in the second half. The Mountaineers increase their record to 3-18 in the RMAC and 6-21 overall.

Brady Subart led the team in scoring and assists. Subart played 30 minutes with 23 points and five assists. He made 50 percent (7-14) from the field and shot 71.4 percent from behind the three point line.
Monroe Porter led the team in rebounding with 10 rebounds, he also put up 10 points while playing 33 minutes. Porter shot 50 percent from every where on the court tonight.
The second leading scorer for Western was
Jackson Ehrlin, having made 16 points in 28 minutes of play. He also had seven rebounds on the night.
Joran Ticeson had the second most rebounds tonight, along with scoring 11 points in 23 minutes. Ticeson had the best shooting percentage of any player on the night, having only missed two free throws. He shot 3-3 from the field, 1-1 from behind the three pointer and 4-6 from the free throw line.
As a team the Mountaineers shot 50 percent from the field, Fort Lewis shot 39.6 percent. Western made 44.4 percent from behind the three, the Skyhawks made 36 percent.
