GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado swimming and diving prepares to compete in CSM Natatorium on Saturday at the CSM Triangular starting at 12 p.m.

The Mountaineers will swim and dive against Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State University Pueblo.

So far this season Western Colorado has competed against the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves twice, winning both by an average of 69.5 points. The Mountaineers have yet to compete against CSM this season, the last time these two team met the Orediggers came out victorious 158-104. CSM currently ranks 29th in the national ranking as Western Colorado comes in ranked 49th.

Having competed in four meets against eight teams so far this season the Mountaineers have only lost to the No. 10 ranked team in the nation, Colorado Mesa University.

With their near perfect record Western Colorado University looks to improve their overall ranking this weekend as they currently sit fourth in the RMAC rankings.

Last week the Mountaineers came out victorious as they won the UNK Mini-Invite in Kearney, Nebraska. The team scored 1,145 points to win over CSU-Pueblo (983 points), Barton Community College (593 points), and University of Nebraska Kearney (583 points).

Winning multiple events last weekend were Mountaineers
Savannah Tice,
Sarah Mortenson, and
Arden Tesch. Also clinching an individual victory for Western Colorado was
Rylee Denney and
Lauren Sanders.

Following this weekend's competition, the Mountaineers will again be on the road as they head to the Colorado Mesa A3 Invite on November 20th through November 23rd.
