SALT LAKE CITY, Utah --- Western Colorado volleyball falls to Westminster College, as the Mountaineers played the Griffins on the road Saturday night and lost 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-17).

The Mountaineers gave away an early lead to the Griffins in the first set, Westminster was able to build off of their lead as they beat the Mountaineers 25-13.

The second set was the strongest of the three for the Mountaineers as they held the lead at 18-17, until the griffins went on an 8-3 run.

In the third set, the Mountaineers matched the Griffins point for point early in the third set, as they held a one point lead at 9-8, until the Griffins earned six straight points earing a 14-9 lead. The Mountaineers we able to come within three at 17-20, then the Griffins closed out the set 25-17.

Junior
Hanna Hendrickson recorded 22 assist along with earing 10 digs on the night.
Myles Hilbert led the Mountaineers in digs as she recorded 18 over the three sets.
Lyria Brook recorded another two aces as Hilbert earned one on the night. Leading the team in kills was junior
Emilee Scates recording 11, as
Emily Mangone earned seven and
Maddy Johnson recorded seven.

Next week the Mountaineers will be home next week as they host Adams State University on Friday and Fort Lewis on Saturday.
