GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado volleyball falls to Black Hills State, as the Mountaineers played the Yellow Jackets at home on Saturday night and lost 3-0 (28-26, 25-17, 25-23).

The Mountaineers gave away an early lead to the Yellow Jackets in the first set, but gathered their composure to bring the first set into extra points only to allow BHSU to win 28-26. Black Hills State smoked WCU in the second set as they took a huge lead early and continued to a 25-17 victory. Leading the Mountaineers in blocks was junior Hanna Hendrickson, as both Emilee Scates and Brianna Hardy recorded three. Hendrickson also recorded 12 assists on the night, with freshman Hannah Pethtel recording 11 assists in her three sets played.
