GUNNISON, Colo. – Western Colorado University women's basketball led for three quarters of Saturday's game against Dixie State University. The Mountaineers were unable to hold on for four quarters as the Trailblazers came from behind in the fourth quarter to win, 57-50.

Western (12-5, 8-5 RMAC) led for the majority of the game on Saturday night. However, with 2:58 remaining DSU (10-7, 6-7 RMAC) took the lead. The Mountaineers were unable to regain control losing to the Trailblazers at home.

The Mountaineers ended each of the first three quarters of the game with the lead and entered the fourth with a 41-37 advantage.

Jadyn Kanzler led Western with 13 points, making 6-of-9 field goals.

The Mountaineers will continue the home stand next weekend next Friday night at 5:30 p.m. against Colorado Christian University.
