GUNNISON, Colo. – In their last effort of the regular season, Western swimming and diving hosts Adams State University on Saturday in Paul Wright Natatorium. The meet serves as reschedule of the dual cancelled in November due to inclement weather.
In conjunction with Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day, Western employees with connections to our swim athletes are encouraged to come check out the action.
Prior to the meet, Western will recognize three seniors,
Morgan Aragon,
Kate Hewson, and
Anna Kaiser. The first race of the meet is slated to begin at 10 a.m. The format for the dual will be as follows:

200 Free Relay
The dual with Adams State will be the third competition in a row for Western. The Mountaineers have been applying a high training load in preparation for the championship season to come.
Following a successful outing at the Colorado College Classic, Western returns to the pool in one last regular season test of fitness.Â
In recent weeks, several young Mountaineers have continued to cut time in the pool. Freshmen
Jordyn Richey,
Sydney Skiles,
Savannah Tice, and
Madeline White are beginning to make their mark on the program across various events as the championship season awaits.
On Saturday, Western looks to send its Seniors out in style before beginning their taper toward the RMAC Championships.
