GUNNISON, Colo. – A national search for Western State Colorado University's next Head Women's Swimming and Diving Coach is underway. Western Athletics is currently accepting online applications for the position at www.western.edu/jobs.
 
Position: This is a full time, 12 month position, including a full University benefit package. Salary is $36,000 per year.
 
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Three years collegiate Swimming & Diving coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving practices and regulations, must become NCAA II recruiting certified, ability to establish good rapport and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni and the general public. Must have proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills.
 
Responsibilities: Organizing and administering all aspects of the Western Women's Swimming and Diving program, including but not limited to oversight of: recruiting qualified student-athletes, fostering and supporting student-athlete welfare, practice and competition scheduling, coaching athletes in practice and games, supervision of coaching staff, managing the program's fiscal budget, conducting and managing all facets of camps, cultivating alumni, direct involvement working with the program's specific fundraising efforts as well as participation in the athletic department's fundraising. Must possess knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations, as well as specific NCAA and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference swimming and diving regulations. Must become NCAA Division II recruiting certified, have the ability to effectively coach student-athletes, establish good rapport and relationships with players administrators, staff, alumni, and the general public. Must have proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills. Limited other duties may be assigned.
