DURANGO, Colo. – Western State Colorado University men's basketball team fell to conference-leading No.12-ranked Fort Lewis College, 95-70, despite
Ben Beauchamp putting up 22 Friday evening on the road. The Mountaineers look to bounce back as they take on their rivals to the south, Adams State University, tomorrow evening in hostile territory.
Beauchamp's 22 came from a mixture of shooting, as the small forward was four of six from beyond the arc and seven of 11 from the field. He also made it to the foul line six times, converting four times.
Also for Western,
James Willis scored 10 points, sinking both attempts from deep.
Monroe Porter led the team again in rebounding with six, while also putting up eight points. Both
Brady Subart and
Will Duggan had five assists.
For Fort Lewis, though Rasmus Bach put up a game-high 24 points, Will Morse was the biggest factor with a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists.
