ALAMOSA, Colo. – A second-half run by Adams State University gave the Grizzlies a conference win over Western State Colorado University. The Mountaineers fell to the Grizzlies 94-81.

Western (3-6, 1-2 RMAC) was unable to stop one of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's top offenses on the road as ASU (5-4, 3-0 RMAC) took an all-important conference win.

The Grizzlies led from start to finish, but their lead was cut to just four points with 13:06 left to play after a
Brady Subart layup. However, it would be the closest the Mountaineers would get to the lead in the second half.

Western scored 45 points in the first half, shooting 56 percent (14-of-25) from the field. Unfortunately for the Mountaineer defense, the Grizzlies scored 55 points in the first half to take a 10-point lead at halftime.

Quincy Harding was dominate for the Mountaineers, making 5-of-6 field goals, including three three-point field goals and going 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Harding led Western with 19 points in 24 minutes played.

ASU took advantage of turnovers, turning 14 Western turnovers into 22 points.

Brandon Sly of ASU led all players with 22 points.

The Mountaineers will continue the season against No. 15 Fort Lewis College on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Durango, Colorado.
