ÂGUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University women's swimming and diving will be competing in the second of three-straight dual meets this Friday. The Mountaineers will travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado to face Colorado College at 5 p.m. in Schlessman Natatorium.

The meet against CC is the second of three dual meets on the road for Western. The Mountaineers are coming off a dominating 216-77 dual victory over Adams State University last weekend. Western won 7-of-11 events against the Grizzlies.

Friday's meet will be the final event of 2017 for the Mountaineers. The next Western competition will be a dual meet against the Colorado School of Mines.

Currently, the Mountaineers are ranked 38
th in the NCAA Division II Championship Rankings and 41
st in the Division II Dual Rankings.

Championship rankings are calculated simulating a championship meet where there are 13 championship events and five relays; Four scorers per event and three individual events per swimmer. Diving events not included.

Dual rankings are calculated by simulating dual meet settings where there are nine individual events and two relays; two scorers per event, and three individual events per swimmer. Diving events not included.

CC is coming off a 183-60 win over Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponent Colorado State University Pueblo. The Tigers have faced one other RMAC opponent this season, the Colorado School of Mines. The Orediggers defeated CC 184-110 late in October.

Western last faced CC in a dual meet on Oct. 24, 2015. The Mountaineers came away with a 201-91 win in Schlessman Natatorium.
