PUEBLO, Colo. – For the fifth game this season, Western State Colorado University men's basketball player
Ben Beauchamp reached the 20 point mark in an 80-103 loss to Colorado State University – Pueblo Saturday evening in Pueblo.
At half, Beauchamp was perfect in the game, converting three-for-three from deep and a perfect seven-for-seven from the foul line for 18 points. The guard would finish the game with 25 points, sinking 66 percent of his shots and heading to the foul line 11 times, missing only once.

Monroe Porter,
Collin Smith,
Patrick Sniff and
Ray Beresford all had eight points. Porter led the team with six assists, while Sniff and
Branden Cosby-Lee had five boards each.
The Thunderwolves distributed the ball efficiently, racking up five players in the double-digits in the win. The 'quarterback' for CSU-Pueblo, Will Newman, dished out 10 assists in the game.
Western continues to shoot phenomally from the foul line, sinking 24 of 28 from the stripe.The team is converting nearly 80 percent from the foul line this season.
Western brought the game within two early in the second half, but after the Mountaineers failed to score for five minutes, suffering a 21-2 run.
The Mountaineers have a long break before returning to action at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Dec. 30
