GUNNISON – For the fourth-straight match Western State Colorado University women's volleyball team went into five-sets, losing to CSU-Pueblo (25-20, 19-25, 19-25, 25-21, 12-15) in Paul Wright Gymnasium Saturday evening. The Mountaineers (8-8, 4-4 RMAC) are currently tied for seventh with UCCS and Adams State. Western will take on Colorado Mines and Colorado Christian next weekend at home.

The front three of the Thunderwolves, led by Megan Schultz was the difference in the match. Schulz was a part of nine of 14 team blocks that held the Mountaineers to .151 hitting as a team.

For the Mountaineers,
Tori Gaherty had another 21 kill night, hitting .395 and adding three blocks. She was joined by
Jordan Eatwell's 19 kills.
Allison Walker dished out 37 assists, while
Kitt Campbell had 11.

Defensively,
Logan Franek had 18 digs and
Amanda Maestas had 17. The Mountaineers tallied seven total blocks, led by
Molly Hothan with five.
