GUNNSION, Colo – Western State Colorado University men's basketball team fell victim to Cameron University, 85-65, Saturday evening in Paul Wright Gymnasium. The Mountaineers will finish their non-conference schedule with a tournament in Grand Junction next Friday and Saturday.

After leading 32-30 in the first half, the Mountaineers surrendered 55 second half points to lose the game by twenty. The Aggies outscored the Mountaineers 56-20 in the paint, as well as 16-2 in fast break points.

Danny Hopkins led Western in scoring with 17 points.
Ray Beresford added nine points. Hopkins was six of 12 from the floor, including three from downtown.

Defensively,
Robert Romero led the team with seven boards. Hopkins,
Tom Folsom and
James Thomas all added five rebounds.

Cameron Lee led the Aggies with 19 points. Deondre Ray added a dozen while James Cross had 10.
