COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Western State Colorado University played their final exhibition game of the season on Saturday.  The Mountaineers traveled to the Air Force Academy to face the Falcons on their home floor.  Western was able to keep the game close in the first half, but the Falcons got away in the second and won, 90-60.

Western (1-1, 0-0 RMAC) had four players score in double figures.  Danny Hopkins (Jr., Riverside, California) led all Western players with 13 points, while teammates Dominique Wright (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Devin Kastrup (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado) each added 12 points.  C.J. Schutt (Jr., Yorkville, Illinois) added 10 more for the Mountaineers.  These four players accounted for all but 13 of Western's points on Saturday.

Air Force (3-1, 0-0 MWC) got out to an early 28-8 lead before the Mountaineers came charging back.  Western cut the lead to four points, 28-32 with 5:31 remaining in the first half.  The Falcons took a 30-45 lead into the break.

The second half was identical to the first in terms of the score, as Western put another 30 points on the board, while AFA scored 45.

Western scored nearly half of their points on Saturday from beyond the arc.  The Mountaineers made 22 field goals total, 10 of which came from three-point range.

Hopkins also led all players in rebounds, grabbing eight on the day.

AFA's Kamryn Williams led the game in scoring with 17 points.
