Dunathan joined the Mountaineer communications staff in July 2024.
She arrives on the Western Slope after working the previous two years as an Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant at Frostburg State (Md.) University, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in health and physical education in 2022 and a Master's of Science degree in sports management in 2024.
Dunathan crafted a well-rounded communications tool kit at Frostburg. She managed gameday operations of Bobcat home events and took on roles that ranged from in-game statistician using NCAA livestats to working the scoreboard or serving as the public address announcer.
She worked with the event media team controlling the replay system for the livestream and the video board at Bobcat Stadium, occasionally stepping behind the camera herself during events.
Dunathan was the manager and content creator for Frostburg sports' social media platforms and also contributed to the frostburgsports.com Website.
She has experience with statistics across many sports, graphics programs, and video creation programs.
As an undergrad at Frostburg she played on the women's basketball team from 2018 through 2021, playing in 52 games with 22 starts across her career and serving as a team captain and team representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee over her final two seasons in the program. As a student in the Health and Physical Education Department, Dunathan made the Dean's List each year, and earned the Outstanding Future Professional Award from SHAPE Maryland.
