2018 (Freshman): In her first year as a Mountaineer Lauren played in 18 matches, starting one of those and with a total of 36 sets played. With 59 digs she averaged 1.64 digs per set.

High School: Harrell comes to Western by way of Blue Valley West High School where she was a member of the 2017 Kansas 6A State Championship Runner-Up team and concluded the season with a 37-6 record. Harrell made the Principal’s Honor Roll for three years, the National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll in the 2017-2018 school year, and is a current member of the National Honor Society, Quill & Scroll National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society. Harrell was also the Sports Section editor for the 2017-2018 yearbook at Blue Valley West. Playing behind a Division I committed setter, Harrell was still able to end the season with 27 digs, 16 aces, and 68 assists. Parents are Christy and James Harrell, brother is Luke.
