Bravo finished her third season as an assistant coach for Western State after a four-year playing career for the Mountaineers. She is responsible for variety of tasks including team travel and recruiting on top of her on-court coaching.
Bravo lettered early on in her collegiate volleyball experience. She started as an outside and put in time as a defensive specialist for the Mountaineers. Bravo was one of ten seniors at Western State College to receive the Alumni Award of Excellence in 2007. Recipient are nominated by Western faculty for their excellence in academics, initiative, creativity and service to the campus community.
Melissa enjoys being a part of the Gunnison community and is in her second year of coordinating the 2010 summer volleyball camps offered at Western. She has worked numerous camps since 2004 and is excited for the changes and the new camp offered this summer.
Bravo is a Colorado native, raised in Black Forest and graduated from Pine Creek High School. Melissa (Tucker) Bravo married Marques Bravo in the summer of 2009, who will serve as an assistant coach for the wrestling team this season and works in the Alumni Relations office. Marques was an All-American for the Mountaineer wrestling team.
