Manchego joined the Mountaineer program beginning with the Fall 2023 season.
A Pueblo, Colorado, native, she played at Otero Junior College under Jordan Bruere — Western's current head coach — in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, earning first-team NJCAA and second-team AVCA All-American honors after the 2019 season.
Manchego would go on to play the 2020-21 spring COVID season at NCAA Division II Davis & Elkins (W.Va.) College, where she and the team would play into the semifinal round of the Mountain East Conference postseason tournament in March of 2021 after posting a 9-3 regular-season record.
A setter, she was a first-team All-MEC selection, ranking second in the league and 26th nationally in assists per set (10.24), accumulating a total of 430 assists, which was third most in the conference.
Manchego earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science, with a minor in health and athletic training, from Davis & Elkins in 2022.
