Brode comes to Western from Anderson High School in Austin, Texas where she played defensive specialist. She averaged more than three digs per set her senior season, tallying over 350 digs. In addition she served out 21 aces her senior season. Brode was named to the Academic All-District team and was second in her district in digs.
