Western Colorado University Athletics

High School: Kennedy comes to Western from Horizon High School, where he was a Lettermen all four years and a two-sport athlete, participating in both Football and Track. He gained athletic recognition as a 4x Lettermen and Front Range All Conference Honorable Mention in Track, 3x Lettermen, Iron Hawk Award earner and Burlsworth character awards winner in Football. His Track stats include 100m – 11.14, 200m – 22.98, and 400m 52.19. His academic achievements include 3x Academic All State Honorable Mention for Track, 3x Academic All State Honorable Mention for Football, 2x Academic Lettermen, and 3x Honor Roll member. When asked why he chose Western, Kennedy said, “I knew I wanted to stay in state, but also get some experience from somewhere that wasn’t super close to home. I thought Western would be the best fit for me with a great environment, where I also felt comfortable with the staff and students that I met.
