Western Colorado University Athletics

High School: Kelita comes to Western from Gunnison High School, where he was a two-sport athlete, competing in both Track and Basketball. His high school athletic achievements include 3A Western Slope League Athlete of the Year and 3A Boy’s Triple Jump State Champion for a broken Gunnison High School record. When asked why he chose Western, Kelita said, “Western has a great community and the best environment to live in. Also, the community offers a lot of outdoor activities you can enjoy with your friends on the weeks. Western has small classes that make it easy to interact with your professors on a daily basis. This allows you to get the help you need.”
