Mike McIntosh

Mike McIntosh enters his second year as the assistant track and field coach for the Mountaineers for the 2021-22 year.

In his first season coaching at Western Colorado, McIntosh had two athletes earn top ten marks, along with assisted coaching multiple multi athletes to top ten performances. 

McIntosh came to Gunnison after spending three years coaching at Southwest Baptist University. 

During his time with the Bearcats, McIntosh helped the team to their highest ever DII NCAA ranking (27th).

McIntosh has gained a reputation of consistently coaching athletes to a place of new found success. He currently has athletes ranked Top 10 in NCAA DII throwing events and has coached many to podium finishes in conference events. 

Mike graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2017 earning a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and later earning a Masters in Athletic Administration. McIntosh competed in Hammer Throw, Shot Put and the Weight Throw for the Bearcats.
