2019-20:
Outdoor (Redshirted): Season canceled due to Covid-19.
Indoor (R-Sophomore): Sweeney raced in six indoor meets during the 2019-20 indoor season, where he qualified for the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships in two events. Despite the NCAA Championships being canceled due to Covid-19, Charlie still earned All-American Honors. He also set a personal best in the mile at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic.

XC (R-Sophomore): Sweeney raced in six cross country meets in the 2019 season, ending his season racing at the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships where he ran a 10k personal best and was a part of Western Colorado's seventh place men's team. He also finished 2nd at the South Central Regional meet and 3rd at the RMAC Conference meet, where he ran a personal best in the 8k. At the Wyoming Invite he ran a personal best in the 5k.

Outdoor (R-Freshman): Raced in the NCAA National Championships in the 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter, finished 5th in the 5,000 meter and 6th in the 10,000 meter...Competed in three events throughout the season, the 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m at four meets.
