Biography

THIS YEAR:  Chancy Wahinya adds depth and versatility to the Mountaineer jumps, sprints, and relay squads....Expected to compete in multiple events including the 200 meters, 400 meters, long jump, triple jump, and 4 x 400 meter relay.

CAREER @ WSC:  Redshirted the 2008 season....Competed unattached during the winter and spring registering personal best marks of 43'5 (triple jump), 20' (long jump), 52.11 (400 meters), and 22.80 (200 meters).

PERSONAL:  An only child, Wahinya is of Kenyan background....Enjoys astronomy, studying the universe, listening to music, watching sports center, team sports and meeting new people.

FAVORITE WORKOUT:  Repeat 300's and Tempo 200's.
